Con el objetivo de garantizar la eficiencia de la cadena alimentaria en las zonas rurales de Alepo, Siria, y fortalecer de resiliencia de las poblaciones más vulnerables frente al impacto de la crisis socioeconómica, ONG Rescate ha suministrado semillas y fertilizantes esenciales a la comunidad en Kwaires (Alepo) para la temporada de siembra de maíz amarillo para garantizar que las familias generen ingresos ahora mientras preparan sus tierras para la próxima temporada de trigo de invierno.
Hasta la fecha, 160 agricultores han recibido herramientas agrícolas esenciales, como sombreros, botas y palas, junto con potenciadores del crecimiento vegetativo para apoyar las actividades agrícolas. Asimismo, el proyecto permitirá asegurar empelo a largo plazo para 55 agricultores, involucrándolos en tareas de siembra, deshierbe, cosecha y transporte.
Estas acciones se enmarcan en el proyecto “Intervención multisectorial FSA, refugio, para comunidades vulnerables desatendidas en las zonas rurales de Alepo, Dara y DEZ”, financiado por el Fondo Humanitario Sirio.
Agricultural Support in Kwaires to Strengthen Community Resilience
In order to ensure the efficiency of the food supply chain in rural areas of Aleppo, Syria, and to strengthen the resilience of the most vulnerable populations against the impact of the socioeconomic crisis, ONG Rescate has provided essential seeds and fertilizers to the community in Kwaires for the Yellow Corn planting season, ensuring families generate income now while preparing their land for the upcoming winter wheat season.
So far, 160 farmers have received basic agricultural tools, including hats, boots, and shovels, as well as vegetative growth enhancers to support their farming activities. In addition, the project will secure long-term employment for 55 farmers, involving them in sowing, weeding, harvesting, and transportation tasks.
These activities are part of the project: “FSA and Shelter Multisectoral Intervention for Underserved Vulnerable Communities in Rural Aleppo, Dara, and DEZ”, funded by the Syria Humanitarian Fund.
